BNK bank (BBC.ASX) has had a banking licence for a year and a half. MC 94 mill.
It takes time, loss making whist taking a small clip on a partner's funds, whilst building the balance sheet lending capacity of the bank.
Love both stocks, but BBC is well ahead in banking progress - has $2.5 billion loans, increasingly from own deposit funds, and has a Market Cap of $94 mill.
NOV will likely go through a similar journey.
Will be nice watching the progress but need to be realistic with forecasting MC
