ASX has tightened up on the announcements that they allow. I am seeing companies either emailing shareholders of the update or posting on the website and not making ASX announcements.
More than ever it makes sense to be subscribing to company newsletters and websites for news such as this, as a lot of investors are relying solely on ASX for news. These sorts of deals, whilst inconsequential in themselves, can lead to bigger things down the track and an early heads-up gives a special advantage.
