I'am a german resident.
I really spent some time and money (calling the different places, where my broker is situated, getting in contact with WIN and NMT) in order to have a chance to elect the amount of win shares of the entitlement offer.
To my suprise when i called in at NMT, mentioning the spin-off and the win entitlement-offer. , i was passed through to Jeremy Macmanus. He then told me some of the requirements, that I can take part in the spin-off as non-australian resident. It mainly depends, where the custodian of the shares is holding the NMt shares...., as i understood it.
My german customer service of the broker didn't really act, or react in time ot my indications. They only told me look at the corporate actions message box, I'll be informed. If a corporate action pops up, I can act, if not then not, just wait. I wasn't saticfied with that answer, having red the prospectus with the mentioned deadlines, espacially concerning the entitlement offer.
It took me some time to get in contact with the compenten authority.
I deliverd them the links to the different forms (prospectus, entitlement offer )
Infact in the ending, the costumer service from Hongkong asked me, weather I can deliver them new ISIN of WIN.
Shortly after that, indeed in the corporate actions box a tool poped up ,where I could enter the amount of WIN shares, I would like to aquire on top of the spin-off.
Now lets hope this works out.
Then the money spent from making all the calls (roughly 200 AUD), wouldn't be spent for vain
