This year's NRL was a joke with six refs on the payroll and the umpiring was a joke. Union is still plagued with penalties (League going that way with too many refs) and they have never got over losing John Eels. I don't know the rules of basketball, and by the amount of whining in the paper, the refs don't either. And frankly, in spite of spending a few winters in the south I just can't take AFL.
And I agree that the weakest Pommy team ever beat us in the ashes.
