It is not a positive of what is going on because a Military coup led with gunfire I think should never occur but a statement the new leader made can give us some hope in the current political climate.
Col Doumbouya also urged mining companies to continue their operations in the country, adding that they would be exempt from the ongoing nationwide curfew.
Hopefully this is something that will ring true, because no doubt the country will still need to create wealth regardless of their political agendas. In a country that is heavily resource fuelled I think this will be something that they will rely upon heavily.
I have had a bit of exposure to West African countries but certainly wouldn't call myself an expert especially give the volatility of such situations.
Cheers,
