I'm inclined to think that this is a greater tie in with Razor. We have been waiting for the RMS integration to be completed and I'm sure most people are aware of the Razor Pay ewallet that was in beta for 3 years in Malaysia and Singapore but will no longer exist as of the 1st of October 2021. What if the acquisition is for the Razor Pay ewallet? That would give IOU access to the Singapore market as well. This kind of investment would also lend itself to a stronger partnership with Razor which operates across a lot of counties in the SEA region.
The Razor Pay ewallet couldn't get enough traction from my understanding but coupled with BNPL and better consumer marketing and a push from Razor to it's customers and it could be exactly what's needed for it to work.
Could also explain the silence about iPay88.
