$10k short term trade profit - pay about 33% tax = $6700 profit.
$10k profit from hold over 12 months - pay 33% tax on only $5k of it (50% tax discount) = $8350 profit.
This is very general, as some people offset other capital gains and losses throughout the year. Also tax brackets, business tax, trusts etc all change things...
We will all most likely all make money with BET either way, as the growth potential is ridiculous.... Most exciting stock on the ASX at the moment in my opinion...
