The idea re accommodation is interesting but this may be uneconomic as to add Nightcap Hotels motel units may either see carparking space reduced at hotels (unless a new car park was built underground, adding to the cost) or the units were constructed above the hotel.

The latter could result in noise issues for guests staying overnight.

There may be other more innovative solutions but a lot of the EDV hotels are not overly close to major tourist attractions, and in some cases also remote from light industrial areas that see businessmen staying overnight as close as they can to minimise travel time to appointments.

One other factor is that with our high labour costs, many motels throughout Oz have struggled.
