Hey mate, i'm not here to tell you what to think or which companies to like, but three things happened here and the method hasn't been unfair to you (for the most part).
1. The consolitation of RXL shares did not reduce your proportional ownership of RXL
2. The split of CNR meant that you owned the same proportional share of CNR
... so far you essentially own the same thing you did before RXL gave birth to CNR
3. CNR did a cap raise like any other and you had a right to participate.
Selling at a loss sucks, but RXL's handling of the three abovementioned aspects did not result in a loss for you.
I'm happy to be wrong though, if you'd care to explain.
