Gold miners clearly struggled across the board today with St Barbara falling 6.1%, Northern Star down 5.3%, Westgold Resources down 4.9% and Silver Lake down 4.7% to $1.32. That said, after releasing FY21 earnings only a few weeks ago SLR was trading around $1.36. So the SP movement is not as dire as it might appear if you keep it in perspective. Personally, I'm investing for the long term, as part of a diversified long term investment portfolio - as a hedge against inflation and a store of value - mindful the SP has seen a disproportionate decline in the last month or so and maintain SLR is a solid company with strong balance sheet and a bright future.
