The only real solution is a combination of both fossil fuel and renewables. The can use gas in combination with CCS to have net zero emissions or nuclear as it is the safest form of energy, but due to a few failures it is given a bad name. The transition will be long and at this point for Australia near impossible with no spending. Gas will play a huge role in the transition, we are just playing around with politics and other factors currently. The longer they wait the more this project will increase in value imo.
