This is chilling: Marxism at its very 'best'.
Less affluent people who are already suffering from being locked up in their apartment/flat now being mollycoddled as to how much alcohol they can have delivered each day. I am only an occasional drinker, and usually one beer is my limit, but if others want to drink a lot in the privacy of their own homes, they ought be free to do so.
The limits are very low: one bottle of wine. No multiple deliveries of spirits even if they're as different as gin and whisky.
Do police know if there are multiple adults in various apartments? Even harsher on them if both like a drink.
This sort of communism hits EDV sales for no good reason, given we supposedly still (just!) live in a democracy.
From 'The Australian':NSW Police have enforced alcohol limits in lockdown residential apartments in Sydney, after health officials instructed authorities to monitor alcohol consumption to “ensure the safety of health staff and residents”.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that police are limiting residents to six beers or pre-mixed drinks per day or to one bottle of wine or one 375ml bottle of spirits.
Social housing residents have complained that care packages sent by friends and relatives have been searched by police before they are delivered.
Residents told the newspaper that excess alcohol is being confiscated until lockdown rules are lifted, with suggestions they consult a clinician if they need more than the prescribed limit.
Mission Australia’s Common Ground building in Camperdown is the latest building to be subject to the restrictions.
“They are searching all bags and things coming into the building … They confiscated a series of gifts. So things like bottles of spirits, we weren’t allowed to have those and we still (aren’t),” one resident told The Daily Telegraph.
