Natural anode is different from Synthetic anode. The primary performance drivers for synthetic anode are the quality of the petroleum coke and the refining process. The primary performance drivers for natural anode are the flake size and consistency of the graphite - in other words, the primary performance driver is the deposit the graphite came from. Vittangi's flakes were formed from a massive bacteria colony that lived over a billion years ago. By a fluke of nature, these bacteria happened to be both highly uniform and ideally sized for anode.
