I am surprised with ATC expectation to achieve 30% silicon, this is significantly higher than I thought would be possible.
even if we can achieve 10% silicon it will be a significant leap over existing graphite based anodes.





A few things I think should be mentioned.

HPA is expected to increase the energy density of standard graphite anodes by 8-10% due to the reduction to the SEI layer (first charge loss). This is expected to increase the battery life by 10-20%

HPA stops thermal run away - which all EV manufactures will be looking at, We have seen numerous stories of Tesla's that have been in accidents where the battery pack has caught fire.

Silicon - it appears ATC has done a few test or conducted enough research to determine the best particle size of silicon is 500 nm.



Iggy say in the presentation, we have coated the silicon and have already commenced battery testing and the initial test results are looking promising.

I can only assume ATC has provide coated silicon and Graphite to SGL carbon where they have completed their own test for ATC to see two NDA's from the Top German Automakers.
