With the increased exposure in the US, if they let the stock price run low for much longer it wouldn’t surprise me if a US fund took an activist position, moved to boot LD/PG out, put their own people in and then proceed to dual list in the US. Would arguably be the easiest and fastest way to unlock $4bln - $8bln in value you’ve ever seen. Many of the US funds are simply ruthless and wouldn’t give a flying f*ck about LD/PG’s overall vision - they’d simply see an asset that is arguably 66% - 75% undervalued and move to correct that, generating massive returns for themselves in the process.
