That lady, her family and their loss to the world are part of a memorial at The Pentagon. I spent half a day at the Twin Towers memorial but for me (and my wife) there's nothing more poignant as a tribute to those people that lost their lives on that day. The design is one of a stream that tells the story of each family and individual from the youngest baby to eldest adult. It is just 500 meters away from the very wall of the Pentagon that the plane went into so as you looked down and read the individual stories, you could see to your right and imagine the impact zone. I left that day feeling like I knew them all. Incredibly sad but it's the design that triggers in oneself emotions I certainly never knew the depth of.
