The UBS target of $35 is based on two major assumptions.
1. Anticipated fund outflows due to ‘under performance’
2. Pressure on fees
I think Magellan fund investors are a lot more ‘sticky’ than that.
There is also no appreciation of the new partnerships (Barrenjoey etc)
On the whole pretty superficial and unimpressive work from UBS - if it drives some further selling - good - I’ll be buying all the way down.
