Concern? Or a framing of the immense opportunity that EOS has to not only track but move objects out of orbit? The article says its all about data- well Ben noted we have a million lines of code tracking millions of objects already. We have a already built out capability there with customers already- the demand for these services is coming- and I wouldnt discount our technology against the competitors.

EOS laser tracking is the bench mark for space tracking.

Leo Labs are a start up using radar based technology- just went through a USD65m Series B funding round- and have raised over USD100m to build a capability we already have. The Northstar idea is a start up- to send three satellites to space, charging $10m in annual fees? Good luck on that one. And EOS already has talked about equipment sales to space agencies- EU anyone?

"LeoLabs uses ground-based phased array radars — one in Alaska, one in Texas, two in New Zealand and two in Costa Rica — to monitor low Earth orbit, and to track and measure any object that flies through its observational area. One main advantage of LeoLabs’ tracking system is the size of the objects it can detect: as small as 2 centimeters across, as opposed to the much larger 10 centimeter objects tracked by legacy detection systems."

Compare to our technology, proven, ready to go.

EOS space tracking and debris monitoring systems now provide the benchmark for space catalogue acquisition and maintenance, in all key performance indicators:

    • Accuracy. Space object position can be determined with an absolute accuracy selectable from 1 mm to 1 m, depending on the application. No other operational space technology offers this accuracy.
    • Sensitivity. EOS trackers have been validated for tracking objects as small as 6mm in size at 350km range, 5cm at 1,000km and 30 cm at 35,000 km. This sensitivity addresses over 90% of all collision risk to operational spacecraft.
    • Range. EOS sensors are able to readily track all orbit heights and regimes from LEO through to GEO and beyond.
    • Cost. Low cost per space track allows frequent tracking of each object and highly accurate catalogues.
