Aussie contract gas prices are dictated by LNG exports, which predominantly use oil based pricing curves. In effect, international spot gas prices are irrelevant. The only real way that US prices could impact things is if there was an unlikely sustained period of US domestic prices being higher than global LNG prices, resulting in extra LNG imports to the US driving prices up through increased competition; but even then the impact would be negligible.
