Hep B vaccines are usually a course of three, some people require more and then don't require them again.

Tetanus vaccines are required once every 5-10 years.

Covid may just require one more booster (similar to hep B). Maybe a yearly thing. Maybe every time we get a new variant.

Elderly and immunocompromised may require more, as they don't mount as robust of an immune response to the vaccines.

Natural immunity provided by infection by covid doesn't appear to provide lasting protection either, so if you plan on just getting it and moving on, I've got bad news for you.

Luckily, those that survive covid often scramble for the vaccine afterwards.

People posting about "why do we need boosters, the vaccine must not work" just don't understand how this stuff works at all.

This stuff is complicated. It's not black and white. New data is coming out constantly and we adjust our understanding and our methods as that happens.

As a health care worker vaccinated in feb, I'll be getting my booster soon (likely, at least, NSW Health is trying to figure out what the go is).

Antivaxxers will soon start clogging up the health care system. So good luck trying to get that hernia fixed, those haemorrhoids sorted, maybe even getting timely treatment for a heart attack or stroke if the antivaxxers continue spreading their nonsense.
