the number will be a good enough number to attract substantial key investors and secure a good debt financing package for production I think.
There's a sweet spot and trade off for a MRE where you don't want to put it out after all exploration upside is accounted for otherwise you're stuck in the doldrums until production verses putting it out too early and the market interpreting your resource as sub par.
I think PDI have done a good job of finding the relative timing of announcement.
