Yes I found this interesting. I know AMI is seeking to be a majority gold producer. But this doesn't change the fact it is a poly-metal producer and as such much more resilient for it. All other things being equal I'd much rather invest in a company with multiple product lines and already generating significant cashflow than one (BGL) years away from generating a bean and confined to a single product.
That said, Macquarie may well have taken those considerations into account if determining its target price for each....
