I don't disagree that its not the best look to have the CEO step down and head back to a large corporate pay cheque.

I will say though that for Pippa, this was likely a career stepping stone, done quite strategically.

She was in a senior position at Nine for a good long while, maybe was not getting traction to move higher (Nine is a bit of a boys club), so took a CEO position at an indie to prove her chops - she turned that around and then got a tap on the shoulder from News to report straight into the CEO - that will be a good move for her in the scheme of things.

I get the feeling Pippa is aiming at global CEO, but its good we have her on the board still...
