This decline in price is sentiment driven, not a result of operational or fundamental issues. If anything the fundamentals are stronger than ever with diversified income from 2 operations, so things like adverse weather, mechanical or lost time due to injury will have less of an impact.
The first set of results from Tropicana had a high $2200 AISC due to the costs associated with the cutback.
There is a planned shut down at Duketon, but this will be somewhat mitigated by a full quarter of production at Tropicana with a forecast AISC of around $1,200 per oz.
The December quarter, with a full 3 months of production across Duketon and Tropicana are when I believe the market will take notice.
