Agreed, China is much more regulated than the western world and banks in China wouldn’t let something go out of control where they couldn’t handle the debt of the property developer. (unless there was a miscalculation somewhere.. which I highly doubt)
and yes as Sunnyaus put it the amount of debt is (although is a large amount) it is insignificant in the Chinese economy which is worth 101.6 trillion yuan in 2020.
