This may explain some of the recent trading! Looks like with current coking coal prices and china's ban on Australian products, NAE's Lochinvar project may appear to be of interest again for potential JV / sale / funding.
This project is ready for production with a NPV of US $410M. Being next door to previous Wolf Minerals, there was always speculation in regards to a JV deal but this seems to have gone quiet. Plenty of previous broker reports and articles in relation to the potential shareholder value that can be gained form this project but due to large initial capex, funding has been difficult.
Lochinvar has gone off the radar with recent announcements, but I hope to see an update in the near future in regards to managements plan / path forward for this project. Last time we saw prices of this was back in 2016 with the Queensland cyclone, causing a shortage of coking coal supply. NAE share price soared to a MCap of around $30-40M from memory, approx. double our current SP. That was also before acquiring our Pilbara tenements and progression at Otago
With prices currently at $US410/t compared to our scoping study $US150/t, there is clearly huge upside in the current market if this project can secure a deal.
Will be eager to see an update on this project and with what looks to me also a break out of our long term down trend. Hopefully this is the end of our current lows with a new uptrend forming based off current charts.
