"Im pretty excited about the Lithium Hydroxide plans partnership with CATL.... is this in Manono location?"
If you combine Belt and Road, AVZ and CATH I am thinking the plan is to build an African Lithium Processing Hub to supply EU with smaller Carbon footprint battery materials, otherwise mentioning Hydroxide doesnt make sense to supply China (why) or Africa (not yet)
Only shipping finished battery chemical means huge 10x to 20x reduction carbon transport footprint, no tailing problem after processing and less transport infrastructure cost.
The Hub might not be next to AVZ mine but most definitely be near a major city close to water -> Kinshasa the capitol of DRC plus DRC doesnt lack water.
Make a more sense that LG Chem, Panasonic, BASF, Umnicore, Tesla and BMW all with big EU operations in need of ESG battery material is at EEA sponsered DRC-Africa Business Forum 2021, if Belt and Road builds the infastructure than Kinshasa could be the first Battery hub in Africa.
