The African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI), Africa's only multilateral import and export credit, and political risk agency, has signed the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as its new member state.

"By joining ATI, the DRC is signalling its willingness to be accountable for its politico-economic situation to foreign investors, originators and financiers of inward and outward trade flows," Bernard de Haldevang, ATI's chief executive said in a statement recently.
