    Seems that Newcrest is about to buy Kirkland Lake, if the blog is correct.

    In principle a good fit, but to me it seems a fish that is a bit to big to swallow. KLs market cap is a bit smaller than NCM, but the difference is small. If the premium is high enough and the price is fully paid in stocks, then KL shareholders might even end up with the biggest part of the company.

    Also if they are outbidding Barrick, this might mean they are overpaying.
