    ACC ECOMINERALS LIMITED
    Australian Standards Approval for KaocemTM
    Low Carbon House Bricks
ACC has been producing batches of near zero carbon footprint house bricks using KAOCEM™
technology, in collaboration with a brick manufacturer in Victoria, Australia.
A 28 day curing period is normally required to obtain full strength, however the Kaocem bricks
were tested after only 14 days by a NATA accredited Brick and Mortar Laboratory. The Kaocem
bricks gave a compressive strength approximately 40% higher than equivalent kiln fired
conventional house bricks that are commercially available from the leading producers.
Water absorption testing of the bricks also gave fully acceptable results.
Final ageing testing is now being completed before existing brick orders are converted across
    into Kaocem brick commercial production.
The global brick industry is extremely large comprising of well over 100 billion bricks per annum
and in Australia about 1.4 billion bricks are currently produced per annum. The low carbon
bricks are more price competitive than conventional kiln fired bricks due to significant savings in
energy costs, much lower capital costs as well as a major reduction in pollution during the
    manufacturing process,
