Nobody has made the claim that alternatives not already in production. In fact if you go back over the threads on QPM lots of discussion on alternatives, particularly the credible use of LFP. I don't think anyone also stating that the rise of Nickel usage in EV will be parabolic, just that there is clear evidence that Nickel is leading the charge (pun intended).
What you are pointing out is entirely feasible, just been discussed before. GLTAH.
