Add to this & it is really important to the likes of Musk & other battery developers - that is consideration of CO2 generated across the entire supply/manufacturing chain along with the push by many miners/refiners to embrace ESG as core to their operations.

ie - 24 Mar 2021 — Vulcan Energy has to trace and measure the emissions across its European lithium-ion battery and electric vehicle (EV) supply chain.

@konameh has covered the Silicon nano-particle supply. And with synthetic graphite via Ferroglobe ATC should have no issues ramping raw material supply.

It is also true that many battery manufacturers are also pursuing vertical integration of supplies chains down to the mine level. I think there is a possibility that ATC along with one or both their partners, would also be considering this - I'll cover when I finish writing up my take on battery tech progress & some of the related critical mineral supply chains.

Appreciate the responses. Sometimes I'll read something which sends me off in a direction that is not so much a dead end, but not necessarily the only possibility to consider.

Hi Propunter,
It's great to see some new posters on here such as yourself and Spid etc and the quality content you guys are contributing.
I was just trying to emphasise the point that they will most likely use their partner's graphite, silicon, and composites products rather than source alternatives. SGL and Ferroglobe are already integrated into the LIB material supply chain and Iggy no doubt wants to leverage off them.
I'm sure SGL and Ferroglobe would be on top of their ESG responsibilities and the push toward the 'greening' of the supply chain.
Just as importantly the Europeans are pushing for local supply and if not local then preferably not from China.
