Lesson from this is: do not buy into any privatisation issue by government where the company operates in a highly regulated industry.
The regulation will be ramped up as soon as the government finishes offloading its equity. Where were all the competition smart cookies in government when Telstra was still in public ownership or partial public ownership?
Should the NBN come into being, and the government subsequently decides to privatise it, this thread should serve as a warning to anyone who considers buying a share in it.
