Yes I agree. British reserve and in turn Australian self deprecation or modesty does not cut the mustard. The American "strutt your stuff", despite its crassness is overall more effective on the international stage. It may need to be toned down for say the Japanese, but the principle remains unchanged. - Be, and stay noticed above the competition.
