Thanks shareman, but I'd appreciate it if you also give a comprehensive analysis showing why they are a competitor, Just throwing articles and videos out there says nothing.

To quote Mike:
5:30: "We don't have a defined roadmap. It is about as basic research as Intel engages in which means that we have kind of a vision for where we want to end up. We're bringing some differentiating technologies to this domain so in particular this asynchronous design methodology we just mentioned".

10:14: "As always it's the software that's really the slower part to come togetherso that said it's not the final version so this process is still in development, and you know we aren't releasing products so it's correct what you said earlier that Loihi 2 is a research chip. So there's a different standard of quality and reliability and all these factors that go into releasing products"

31:24: "Really Lava, this software framework that we're releasing is a beginning of an open source project. So it's not the release of some finished product that we're sharing with our partners. It's really we've set up a basic architecture and we've contributed some software assets that we've developed from the Loihi generation but really we see this as building on the learnings of this previous generation to try provide a collaborate path forward and address the remaining software challenges that still exist and are unsolved. Some of these are very deep research problems but we just need to get more people working together on a common code base because until we get that progress is going to be slow and that's inevitable."
