I was just updating my knowledge and the only thing I could find is a standard form agreement that the Australian Tax Office puts out for companies when they wish to have the option to buy back options of an employee awarded options under an employee incentive scheme who is leaving under different circumstances.

I found a number of law firms advertising that they can assist companies with the process of buying back employee options and can assist with employee share buy backs which are under a different provision of the Corporations Act.

I have distant memory of a relative taking about having to sell his options back to his company when he was head hunted 20 or so years ago.

It seems that it is all possible just needs to be done the right way.
