Sting1 it is. I totally agree with you and argue this with at least one better known poster here.
IMHO Buy/Sell depth should only be considered in the practical & possible range of the current market price eg 5 lines or so. Everything else is meaningless. Esp when lots of action never makes it into the depth & is off screen.
Kind of like the valuation theory of Spencer v Commonwealth.
