From previous examples of ASIC inquiries into ASX listed companies we know the media love to use the term ‘raid’ when it may be just a basic enquiry to provide information.
So not sure how all this came about but if ASIC are looking into FP it all looks positive at this stage. If the preliminary investigation found misconduct on FP’s behalf, surely this would need to be reported earlier and the companies securities would need to go into some type of trading suspension. Otherwise, since we’ve heard nothing of it for this amount of time (thanks Annette for uncovering this story) we can only assume FP will be cleared of any misconduct with all these nasty rumours finally put to rest.
