There are environmentalists in any country that say "there is no such thing as a good mine". They send that to twitter on their phone full of rare earth metals, which only functions because of mining.
It is all well and good to say we should recycle more, but their ignorance would cost the world actual progress if they were given power. We cannot recycle everything, that dream was a lie fed to us all by oil/petroleum companies for 30 years.
Thankfully, they are a minority.
