Fellowes111,
You posted 'It is 275kV and has no tower capacity for an additional load in bound to BHP. BHP have negotiated with Electranet to sell the line to them and/or get an augmentation built to accomodate the new load at OD after its expansion, and/or get the 132KV backup line from Pimba (Woomera) upgraded to 275kV.'
Firstly, where have you read/heard that BHP have negotiated with ENet to sell the line to them?
Secondly, what makes you think that the 132kV line can get upgraded to 275kV? From my understanding there is significant differences between the 132kV & 275kV lines (such as spacing between conductors and ground clearances), so upgrading the line would require replacing the towers, so you would effectively be building a new line. Not just an upgrade.
Cheers,
Butchy.
