There are investment risks with both funds, what about an investor in MFG’s funds of outperformance risk by other funds, leading to sequencing risk for an investor? Is the underperformance likely to continue?
I believe GQG has sufficient skill to adapt when the market situation changes, for example out of Alibaba and into other global opportunities. They have to adapt due to the points you make above about the volatility in BRIC countries. I think Rajiv outlines in the podcasts (I don’t want to oversell this point).
If you want to compare performance further, why wouldn’t investors invest in VGMF as opposed to MFG Global Equity fund?
