No bad experiences with gold. I got invited by the goldbugs to stay on the gold forum when gold was spiking unsustainably in 2010. I predicted a cataclysm, but goldbugs assured me I was wrong, which I wasn't.
As gold spiked vertically, so did uranium but over a much shorter time scale.
