I don’t think an acquisition is desirable unless it is clearly complementary and offers good value. A huge threat in these types of smaller businesses is distraction from trying to do to much.
I agree with JohnFreely that any spare cash should be poured back into growth.
We are in the middle of a land grab, but few competitors realise it so far.

Every business in Australia with an HR rep will be doing background checks on every new hire over the next few years, many do them routinely already. The first supplier to have their systems embedded in the HR department processes will be there indefinitely. There is no cost saving or advantage to change to a competitor, so the first in the door gets the annuity business in future.

Right now all efforts should be about signing businesses up to this platform.
