I think this article/interview dates back to Dave's last visit to Korea some months ago and does not imply that he is there now. It clearly states the interview took place after Dave met with "Korean investment firms and partners" (leading into the current deal) rather than government officials. Also I note not a single caucasian face in the emergency meeting photo (second post of @dpbear) so just local industry representatives? My bet is that he is still in Europe somewhere.
Of note perhaps, the article quotes "IN 2024, ASM'S SALES WILL EXCEED KRW 300 BILLION, AND OPERATING PROFIT WILL REACH 30-40% OF SALES" By my calcs that is ~$350M/annual sales in 2024 and $110M-$140M annual profit. Does that fit with what we already knew?
