But these days everything has to be explained in detail to the patient due to legal requirements and often the patient has to sign a form saying they have been made aware of all factors and agree to the treatment.
So it can't be done like back in the old days.
I do feel sorry for people in cities though as this process slows things down so much.
I live in a regional town in FNQ. When myself and a daughter needed a Covid test we just turned up at the centre and were done in about ten minutes. Drove straight in, had a quick chat and got swabbed.
Same with the AZ jab, booked that one but all over in about half an hour including the 15 minute observation period after the jab.
