Brokerage fees are really not a good justification to invest imo unless you are buying very small parcels at say sub $1000.I trade with selfwealth which offers $9.5 flat fees (there are cheaper) so if I get a 1% swing on a 1k trade it completely wipes out brokerage.My brokerage fees last year were over 3k so I do appreciate how these things add up though.
