Anyone got any ideas about the WHC quarterly this week? I'm thinking 4.0Mt sold coal, average price of US$130 vs benchmark average of US$160. This gives a profit of about $0.35B for the quarter or $1.4B annualised. That assumes a production cost of A$85 for overheads, royalties etc. Crazy to think think this is based on $US130 coal prices. Next quarter if WHC receives US$175 that would mean a $0.58B profit quarter or $2.32B annualised. The profit to Market cap ratio is nuts.
