Emergency response beacons

Spectur's Facebook page and Linked In page have just uploaded a link to some publicity from Surf Life Saving NSW on deployment of a Spectur Emergency Response Beacon at Shelly Beach near Manly https://www.surflifesaving.com.au/news/beacon-safety-manlys-shelly-beach

I had been wondering how that contract was progressing and whether the seemingly slow progress was somehow tied up with COVID restrictions in Greater Metropolitan Sydney. In any case, it was pleasing to note that:

"the Emergency Response Beacon (ERB) ... is one of 20 new generation units which will be rolled out at key drowning hotspots this year, as part of the NSW Government's $16 million commitment across four years to Surf Life Saving NSW"

This is undoubtedly good news and I'm hoping that with NSW COVID restrictions beginning to ease, what SLS NSW means is that the remaining 19 units will be deployed during the remainder of this calendar year (as opposed to during the remainder of the financial year).
