It's basically a gas kick, aka Pressure influx as per the update. Whether its a gascap above an oil leg or just a gas zone remains to b verified from the Wireline Logs. Which is why to proceed cautiously they have to increase the mud weight to keep the wellbore 'balanced' & simultaneously flare off the gas.

It's always a tricky situation esp. with logging to b done, which means once they trip out they'll have to fill the hole with heavy mud & monitor the mud tanks for fluid coming out of the well.

In short, Log this section & put it behind casing, as the primary targets is still deeper. With shallow zones, u don't get pressure that will last years & years, eventually it drops off & so does the flowrate.
