Just a couple things that stood out for me mate:
(1) Appeal of morningstar: shaft at morning star mine was economically productive post word war 2 at shallow depth. After world war 2 as part of stimulus activities by the government, grants were received to plunge shaft depth. Interestingly, mining began at the very depth of the shaft however left an unexplored "gap" which WRM are exploring now.
(2) Light shed on drilling mishap in Alaska: both the contractor and WRM tried to offer cash bonuses and other incentives to drillers to drill the season, alas, they moved off to other jurisdictions to work for 12 months rather than the short 4 months of work that could be offered for the Alaskan season.
